BGSU was one of the original 12 schools to pilot the program of DOE-JGI Undergraduate Research in Microbial Genome Analysis and to help developing the annotation package IMG-ACT. This experience has been described in an article in PLoS Biology. Our effort has received accolades from the general pulic, as heighted by The Toledo Blade and Medical News Today.
