Ned Skeldon Stadium

The Bowling Green State University Club Baseball team has proudly called Ned Skeldon Stadium home for two years now. We have nothing but great things to say about Ned Skeldon. Ned Skeldon was opened in 1965 and served as the home field for the Toledo Mudhens until 2001 when the new Fifth Third Field opened in dowtown Toledo. A converted racetrack, the ballpark is uniquely laid out -- the stands on the first base side are mostly individual seating, with a cantilevered roof hanging over the section without creating any obstructed views. The third base side is split between individual seats (from field level to about half way up) and benches (the rest of the seating), and also has a roof, but one supported by thick girders. Behind home is the pressbox and luxury seating, and which is propped up over some “box” seats. The concourse which runs beneath the stands offers access to the restrooms. Ned Skeldon Stadium is now used as the home field for the Mid American Master’s Baseball League, an affiliate of the Roy Hobbs Adult Men’s Baseball League, and home to the National Amateur Baseball Federation College Divsion (22 & under) World Series.
