Course Description: Introduction to ordinary
differential equations: general equations of low order, higher order linear
equations with constant coefficients, series solutions, qualitative theory and
systems of differential equations. Prerequisite: C or better in MATH
233.
Textbook (required): “Differential Equations”, third edition, by Paul Blanchard, Robert Devaney and Glen Hall, Thomson-Brooks/Cole (2006).
Chapters 1, 2, 3, 6, and Appendix A and B, with additional topics from Chapters 4 and 5.
