I work with Dr. Carol Heckman. She is also the Director for the Center for Microscopy and Microanalysis at Bowling Green State University.

Our lab implores the shape dynamics of rat tracheal epithelial cells. The focus of my dissertation work is to decipher the relationships between focal adhesive contacts and actin cytoskeleton in protrusion formations. We use a computerized morphometry based statistical classification system to identify and quantify cellular edge features.

My work involves cell culture techniques, transfections, siRNA knockdowns, fluroscence and electron microscopy, mass spectrometry and geographical information system (GIS) software analysis.
