Throughout my time as a graduate student I have worked hard to become a member of scholarly discussions through
conference presentations, book reviews, and publications.
Here
you can find links to sample scholarship including a dissertation
abstract, a writing sample, and sample accepted conference abstracts. My dissertation is a study that explores how one institution moved to electronic portfolios as a means of assessing the addition of multimodal assignments in their program. In addition to eportfolios, my research interests focus on assessment, new media, how technology is changing the writing classroom, and how and where these three intersect. Other areas of research include: blogs in the writing classroom; student perceptions of technology; teacher-training; writing placement; program-wide assessment; assessing multimodal texts; and social networking as text creation. |
