Research Experience
Summer 2006: Vivarium Caretaker
Cared for toads, axolotls, snakes, fish and tarantulas; cleaning cages, daily
feedings.
Summer –Fall 2006: Field Assistant
Helped gather physical data on House Wren nestlings and analyzed
videos of begging behavior.
Summer 2008: Data collection for my thesis research
Adviser: Dr. Karen Root
Gathered abundance data for deer in multiple parks near Toledo,
OH. Surveyed populations of oak seedlings and Lupine for browsing
by deer. Used a mobile
GPS unit to mark deer trails and study areas.
Teaching Experience
Fall 2007 – Present: Teaching Assistant for Biology 104 Lab at BGSU
Taught multiple lab sections for non-majors introductory biology.
Created quizzes, graded homework and tests.
