Publishing web pages using Netscape Composer on the Macintosh

Launch Netscape.  It may be listed under Internet Applications, or under Recent Applications, or you may need to use Sherlock to search for Netscape.
Once Netscape is launched, pull down Communicator and choose Composer.
Compose your web page in the normal way.

Now either click on the Publish icon or pull down File and choose Publish ...
You will see a window resembling this one:

You will need to modify the location listed to customize it to your directory on your web server.
Now you need to specify a name for the file as you would like to save it (even though you have probably already saved the file to disk).  Also, you should enter your User Name and Password on the web server.  Quite annoyingly, Netscape requires you to re-type the name of the file each time you publish it.  I have never checked the Save Password button;  i suspect that it will save it long after you have left the computer and someone else is using it, so this is not at all secure, I would guess.

Hopefully, Netscape will put everything in the right location.  Note that any associated image files are put in the same directory as the web page (.html file), so you need to choose unique names for the image files.
