I am an instructor in the Department of Theatre & Film at Bowling Green State University. I am also an ABD PhD candidate in the Critical Studies in Film, Media, and Culture track within the American Culture Studies program at Bowling Green State University. My research and scholarly interests include film and digital media (including video games), particularly looking at the various aspects of converging media. My dissertation – “‘You’ve Seen the Movie, Now Play the Game’: Recoding the Cinematic in Digital Media and Virtual Culture” – looks at how digital media has established and affected the relationship between film and video games in terms of 1) economics, 2) aesthetics, and 3) narrative.
