Welcome to my professional site! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the process of writing my dissertation on cookbooks and women's multimodal literacy practices. I have a wide variety of research and teaching interests, and this site attempts to reflect those interdisciplinary tendencies. In keeping with David Jay Bolter and Richard Grusin’s scholarship, this site is a study in remediation, as it represents pen and paper writing via the new medium of hypertext. This site was also designed to emphasize the physicality of electronic navigation, as it portrays a familiar setting of an open journal. This representation of a real, concrete writing space in hypertext format is meant to enhance the parallels between old and new media and also my experience integrating various media. Please browse this site for more information related to my research, publications, and teaching experience.
