I, like much of the rest of the world, enjoy blogging: I blog for fun, for scholarly work, and for teaching as well. Browse the links below to see examples of my blogs and wikis.

Professional Blogs

The Daily 10: Blogging my disseration experience has been fun and useful, as I use it to inform others on my progress, as well as to rearticulate my own ideas.

Aristotle Who?: I set up this site as a space for other PhD students and I to share our opinions and ideas about readings in the field, as we began to study for the preliminary exam process.

Educational Blogs

English 111 Final Project Blog: This class, which met in a computer-mediated classroom in the Fall of 2006, developed a blog to introduce incoming freshmen to BGSU and to the city of Bowling Green. Their individual essays evaluated various locations on and off-campus of their choosing.

English 111 Community Blog: This class blog, from the Fall of 2007, encouraged students to take our discussion beyond the (traditional) classroom walls.

English 207 Class Blog: This blog, from the Fall of 2007, aided classroom discussion and helped each student gain a voice in the classroom.

English 207 Class Wiki: This wiki served as our class website, in place of the usual BGSU-sponsored BlackBoard system. Students were active in creating and revising pages via discussion.

English 381 Google Group: This site replaced BlackBoard as well as the blog in 2008 to represent our class's virtual presence.

Entertainment Blog

PHooDie: I love food and cooking, and use this blog to record my favorite recipes and report on recipes I have done. I also include reviews of sites, events, and cookbooks, plus I report news in the world of food.
